Langatun - 12y Vintage Reserve - Single Grain Whisky - 49.12% - 50cl

Langatun Vintage Reserve means that these are single cask bottlings from the very beginning and have been allowed to mature in the cask for well over 10 years. This special bottling is one of the most special Langatun has ever had. On 28.01.2011, Hans Baumberger conducted an experiment. Normally, Langatun uses malted barley or, rarely, rye or maize - but not on this day. Here, the first and only single grain whisky of the Langatun Distillery was created. After a good 12 years in cask #155, it was decided to mature this noble drop in a first fill PX sherry cask to give it even more differentiated notes. It was then bottled on 27.03.2023, yielding just 345 bottles.

Colour: reddish brown

Aroma: Intense and complex with aromas of vanilla, cocoa, forest honey, cinnamon, pear bread, Bündner Torte, quince

Taste: slightly cerealy, very spicy and earthy with flavours of roasted walnuts, dried figs, black pepper and oatmeal with honey

Finish: medium long, dry, earthy, strongly woody with flavours of hay, black pepper and some leather
