Langatun Bernbon Whiskey is a corn whiskey produced in the canton of Bern. In addition to 70% maize, malted barley is also used. Bernbon is brought to market batch by batch, with different barrels being married. Mainly so-called Krogemann barrels are used. These are former wine barrels that are revitalised and toasted. They therefore give the whiskey spicy and vanilla flavours. A few red wine barrels, in which Merlot or Barolo, for example, were previously allowed to slumber, are also used. This gives the whiskey depth and a subtle fruitiness. The different batches are each numbered by hand.
